Constructed from 2 separate parts that easily slide apart or together the base is coated in a rubberized paint whilethe back is covered by a cushioned faux leather. better alternative
Don’t worry if this pricey book stand never comes back…I found a great alternative. Barnes and Nobel has a product called “Bookhug”…a metal stand for $12.

Quality control problems?
On my unit, the leatherette covering is glued to the piece of metal that slips into the slot, making the fit extremely tight.

Worth the Price!
Sometimes little things make a huge difference. I was looking for a stand to read the morning newspapers on Kindle at the breakfast table.

Improved since early reviews.
I was greatly pleased to find that this stand seems to have been upgraded. It has a leather padded backrest and fits together smoothly with the base.

Does the trick quite nicely
The stand is sturdy, works to hold the Kindle 2 nicely (even if it has the Amazon cover on it), and props the Kindle at just about the right place for comfortable reading.

Great Little Stand
This stand is exceptionally well designed and made. It is perfect for

Well constructed luxury
First off, I don’t think that any middle school shop class has the capability to make aluminum extrusions. This is a very well made, two-piece aluminum extrusion.

Way Overpriced for Low Technology
way, way, way overpriced for a few pieces of metal stuck together. There are no specialized technologies, no high end materials, no complicated design factors.
